Where is Supply NC?

Supply is in Brunswick County, North Carolina, along the Lockwood Folly River and US-17. It's an unincorporated community, which means it isn't a town with its own government. Many homes with a Supply mailing address sit near the NC 130 bridge to Holden Beach.

  • Holden Beach: about 5 minutes
  • Shallotte: about 15 minutes
  • Oak Island and Southport: about 25 to 30 minutes
  • Wilmington: about 45 minutes

Is Supply part of Holden Beach?

No. Holden Beach is its own town on the island. Supply is the mainland across the bridge. The two share a ZIP code, which confuses a lot of buyers. It matters because Supply homes usually cost less, pay no town tax, and often carry lower flood and wind insurance than island homes.

What do homes cost in Supply NC?

Supply homes usually cost far less than homes on Holden Beach, where the typical value was about $909,853 in May 2026. Prices in Supply depend a lot on the setting. Homes on the river or in golf communities cost more. Homes on larger inland lots cost less. Because Supply shares a ZIP code with the island, most online price reports mix the two. What kinds of homes are for sale in Supply?

  • Waterfront homes. Homes on the Lockwood Folly River and nearby creeks, some with docks and boat access.
  • Golf and planned communities. Neighborhoods like Lockwood Folly and SeaScape offer golf, pools, and amenities with HOA dues.
  • Homes on larger lots. Many areas have no HOA and more space than you'd find on the island.
  • New construction. Builders are active in the area. Bring your own agent on the first visit, since the builder's rep works for the builder.
  • Land. Lots and acreage come up often. Check zoning, septic, and flood zone before you buy.

What are property taxes in Supply NC?

Lower than in town. Supply has no town tax because it isn't a town. You pay the Brunswick County rate of $0.34 per $100 of assessed value for 2026-27, plus any fire district fee.

Does Supply NC flood?

Some areas can, especially low land near the river, creeks, and marsh. Many neighborhoods sit on higher ground. Check the flood zone for every address and get an insurance quote during due diligence. I pull the flood zone and any elevation certificate for you.

Water, sewer, and septic in Supply

Many Supply homes are on county water, and many use septic systems instead of sewer. For any home on septic, get the system inspected. For land, check whether the soil will pass a septic permit before you buy.
