It depends most on the view and the building. Oceanfront units cost the most, then ocean-view, then off-ocean. Size, floor, updates and HOA dues all move the price. Across the Myrtle Beach area, the median condo sold for $219,500 in September 2026, down 8.2% from a year earlier. Oceanfront 29572 condos usually sell above that median.

Want the real numbers on a building?
I can pull recent sales, HOA budgets and rental history for any 29572 building so you can compare before you make an offer.
In many buildings, yes. 29572 has many resort buildings with on-site rental programs. You will need a City of Myrtle Beach business license and must collect state and local accommodations taxes. Rental income varies a lot by building, view and season, so ask for actual rental statements, not estimates. I help investors buy, but I do not manage rentals.

You share costs and decisions with other owners. HOA dues can rise, special assessments can come up for big repairs, and building rules can limit rentals, pets or changes to your unit.
